Gameplay System
Moe Moe is one of the more unique Platform Fighters that I have ever come across. Along with air dashing and a super attack system, Moe Moe has a dynamic moveset system where your attacks will change depending on your distance to the enemy. This type of mechanic isn’t unique in the realm of fighting games; King of Fighters has had distance based normals for some time, same with Vampire Savior. The first Touhou fighting game in particular, Immaterial and Missing Power, had a very, very similar system as to what is in Moe Moe; at far range, all your normals become different types or projectiles, while at closer range your attacks will turn into regular fighting game normals.

With all that said, dynamic and distance based movesets is something that has never been explored in Platform Fighters specifically. It should also be mentioned that, unlike Touhou IaMP, you also have the option of playing “manually” and instead of the game detecting when your distance to an opponent, you can change between your close range or long ranged moveset at will. Despite this experimental system, you will admittedly want to only pick manual. While the dynamic moveset may be a good fit for a focused, 1v1 fighter, it is not so good a fit for a game that can have 4 characters on screen at a time.

Most of the characters in Moe Moe are from various anime and visual novel series. Only Azumanga Daioh is represented with two characters of all the series represented and there are two original characters created by Make.Of.Enjoy, Satika and Tisma.
